Foster City also boasts a top-tier K-12 public school system. All four of its public schools have won California Distinguished School awards and Blue Ribbons in the past.

  • Foster City Certified Farmers Market – This local farmers market is open every Saturday from 9:00 am straight until the early afternoon along Metro Center Boulevard. The selection is limited compared to other farmers markets in San Mateo County, but rest assured you’ll get extremely high-quality fresh produce here.
  • Sea Cloud Park – Widely considered as one of the best sports parks in San Mateo County, Sea Cloud Park features several batting cages, ball fields, children’s play areas, soccer fields, as well as a snack shack. You can also watch the Foster City Little League play here– it’s their homebase.
  • Hillbarn Theatre and Conservatory – Built in 1941, the Hillbarn Theatre and Conservatory is known for staging classic plays as well as works by local playwrights.
